Boaz Myhill best in the league
It may be early in the season to look at standings but Albion keeper Boaz Myhill is looking down on the rest of the Premier League stars after his early good form.
The former Welsh international has moved into top spot of the Sky Sports Power Rankings.
Premier League stars are awarded points for anything from goals, assists, blocks and saves.
And while Manchester City may be storming ahead in the Premier League table, the 32-year-old is doing his bit to keep the Baggies at the summit.
In for the injured Ben Foster, who is said to be targetting an October return, Myhill climbed 36 places in the reckoning after keeping four clean sheets from his last five league games.
The American-born glovesman sat out of Wednesday's League Cup defeat at Norwich City with Anders Lindegaard deputising.
But it is expected Myhill will reclaim his place as Albion number one for Monday night's visit of Everton.
Myhill is holding on to top spot from fellow goalkeeper Hugo Lloris – the Frenchman is also flying up the leaderboard with three clean sheets in five games.
Lindegaard, who signed on a free transfer in the summer from Manchester United, could do little to prevent Tony Pulis' men crashing out of the League Cup in his first appearance at Norwich.
Former Wolves winger Matt Jarvis smashed the opener in at the Danes' near-post, before he was beaten by an exquisite Kyle Lafferty finish and a Sebastien Pocognoli own goal.
With Myhill sitting top of the Power Rankings with over 10,000 this season, the next highest Albion player is Craig Dawson, who is 13th.
