Saido Berahino sacks agent ahead of new deal conversation
Albion are planning fresh contract talks with Saido Berahino after the striker sacked controversial agent Aidy Ward.
The 21-year-old forward will be granted time to appoint a new representative by club officials but it is hoped talks on a new deal will recommence within the next few weeks.
Berahino is believed to have sacked Ward in response to the long-running Raheem Sterling transfer saga.
Ward, who is also Sterling's agent, has been heavily involved in the fallout between the England star and Liverpool, making several controversial comments to the media in May when contract talks ground to a halt.
Berahino only joined Ward's Impact Sports Management last season, but has now severed ties with the company.
"I'm no longer working with Saido," Ward said. "You'll have to ask him for the reasons."
Berahino has two years left on his current contract which runs until the summer of 2017. Any new deal is expected to more than double his wages which are currently thought to be £14,000 a week.
It was reported in May that Pulis met the striker and urged him to dump Ward.
