Former Albion teenager Isaiah Brown is poised to make his Chelsea debut at The Hawthorns against the club that lost him controversially to the Blues.

The 18-year-old midfielder is set to follow fellow youth-teamer Ruben Loftus-Cheek into the senior squad.

And that will ensure a red-hot reception at The Hawthorns next Monday after he quit the Baggies academy to join the London club two years ago.

Compensation of around £1m was eventually agreed after Brown had made a first-team debut for Albion aged just 16.

But Baggies chairman Jeremy Peace was left fuming by the rules that allowed Brown to walk away for a fee that could have been decided by tribunal.

Loftus-Cheek made his debut in Chelsea's 1-1 draw with Liverpool on Sunday and manager Jose Mourinho said: "Izzy Brown came from West Brom, so it will be special for him to play at his house."
