West Bromwich Albion striker Nicolas Anelka will remain available for selection for first team matches pending the outcome of an FA investigation into a controversial goal celebration, the club has said.

A statement confirmed the Frenchman will remain in contention after he 'vehemently denied' any intention to cause offence in discussions with club bosses.
He remains the subject of a club and FA probe following the 'Quenelle' gesture he made after his first goal against West Ham, claimed by some to be anti-Semitic.
A club statement released yesterday said: "The club fully acknowledges that Nicolas' goal celebration has caused offence in some quarters and has asked Nicolas not to perform the gesture again."
