Walsall FC's Romaine Sawyers hits back at critics
Romaine Sawyers today hit back at Walsall's critics and insisted the Saddlers can make the play-offs without a League One 'goal machine'.
Some fans and pundits have questioned the scoring power in Dean Smith's side after the loss of Will Grigg, Jamie Paterson and Febian Brandy in the summer and three failures to score in home league games this season.

But Sawyers, who netted his third goal of the season in last weekend's FA Cup win against Shrewsbury, said: "We've just beaten Shrewsbury 3-0 and before that people were saying we weren't scoring enough goals.
"But Craig Westcarr is on nine, Ashley Hemmings has five, I'm on three, James Baxendale has chipped in and Andy Butler scored the biggest goal of the season against Wolves.
"I think goals come from everywhere."
Tonight's clash with Peterborough at the Banks's Stadium brings Walsall legend Jimmy Walker back to the club for the first time since he ended his second spell with the Saddlers in January.
Walsall's record appearance-maker, now Posh's goalkeeping coach, said: "Everyone knows what a great time I had at Walsall."
