Jid Okeke reportedly set to return to Walsall on loan from Stockport County
Jid Okeke is reportedly set to return to Walsall on loan from Stockport County until the end of the season.
Okeke was recalled from his loan by the Hatters last month after featuring 18 times for Walsall in all competitions during the first half of the season.
The German-born wing-back has played only nine minutes across his two cameos from the bench in League One since returning to Edgley Park.
Mat Sadler recently quashed suggestions that Okeke could return to Bescot and sources close to the Greater Manchester club indicated that he was set to join an unnamed club in Germany.
The 21-year-old is only eligible to play for two different clubs in a single season and has figured for both Stockport and Walsall this term.
And according to journalist Pete O'Rourke, Okeke is poised to complete a deadline day loan switch to Bescot.
Okeke first joined Walsall on transfer deadline day in September and marked his debut by scoring the third goal during the Saddlers' 3-1 win at Shrewsbury Town in the EFL Trophy.
Mason Hancock has recently returned from a long-term knee injury to provide competition and cover for Vincent Harper on the left.
However, Walsall are still short of depth on the right since Okeke went back to Stockport in early January.
He made his last appearance for the Saddlers during a 2-0 defeat at Cambridge United on New Year's Day and was recalled on the same day as Ryan Finnigan and Dan Cox.
