Pattison has been awaiting his lift-off moment after a stop-start introduction to life at Bescot following his January switch from Bradford City.

The 28-year-old shone on his league debut in a 3-1 win at Tranmere Rovers in January, but lost his place in the team in the latter stages of former head coach Mat Sadler's reign.

And he capped a man-of-the-match display with an assist for Daniel Kanu and a stunning last-gasp winner on his first start in seven games against Newport County on Saturday.

"When he took over and got the job, he got me in and showed me some clips of my defensive recovery runs," Pattison acknowledged.
