Walsall handed double injury boost as Priestley Farquharson to be assessed

Darren Byfield says he expects Walsall duo Jid Okeke and Courtney Clarke to be available when Newport County visit Bescot on Saturday - although Priestley Farquharson is still being assessed.

Okeke missed the midweek draw against Cambridge United at Bescot after experiencing a sharp pain in his rec fem (thigh) - while Farquharson was absent due to a knee issue. 

Clarke has also been forced to sit out the past two games since rolling his ankle during training last week

Both Okeke and Clarke returned to training with the first team on Thursday, but there is still a doubt over Farquharson's condition ahead of the weekend.

That defeat leaves Walsall 11 points adrift of the automatic promotion places.
Courtney Clarke has missed the past two games with an ankle injury but returned to training on Thursday.
