Darren Byfield has revealed Vincent Harper suggested the idea of playing himself at right-back during Walsall’s 3-0 win at Crewe Alexandra.
The left-sided player was introduced midway into the second half when he replaced Rico Browne who was forced to succumb to an earlier knock.
Harper has exclusively played at left wing-back since arriving at Walsall last summer, but had previously been deployed on the right at times for Exeter City and Eastleigh.

And the Kenyan international was quick to remind Byfield before he took charge of his first game in interim charge.
