The Saddlers dominated for large periods and took a deserved lead in first half stoppage time when Aaron Pressley was sent through by Daniel Kanu and finished with aplomb.

Yet they never managed to kill the game off and County took full advantage when Oli Norburn crashed a stunning half-volley into the top corner 11 minutes from time.

Jodi Jones delivered the final deadly blow deep into stoppage time when he converted a back post header from Maz Kouhyar's cross.

That extended the Saddlers' winless run on home soil to seven games but they somehow remain just three points adrift of the play-offs.

"It is difficult to bring perspective because you want to win games and Notts County fans didn't give a hoot that they didn't play well for periods of the game," boss Sadler said.
