Courtney Clarke defends "amazing" Mat Sadler as pressure intensifies on Walsall boss

Sadler has come under scrutinising pressure from the Walsall fan base following a seven-match winless run in League Two. 

A wretched spell of just one win in 10 games has seen the Saddlers plummet from the league summit into 10th-place over the past two months. 

But Clarke has praised Sadler for maintaining positivity during a negative period and is confident the squad will help him resolve their problems.

'We have to resolve it and get together' 

"The gaffer has been amazing, really. He is always trying to keep the positivity in the group because of the way it has been going," Clarke noted.
