"Still a few months to go" - Walsall issue injury update on forgotten man Elicha Ahui
Mat Sadler says he "does not expect" forgotten man Elicha Ahui to play for Walsall this season following his return to Essington.
Ahui joined the Saddlers from fellow Trivela-owned outfit Drogheda United on an 18-month deal with an option year in January 2025.
The defender immediately re-joined the Drogs on a year-long loan before his season was curtailed by an ACL injury.
He has been out of action since May last year and Sadler has revealed he still has a "few months" of recovery left.
Ahui won't feature for Walsall this season
"Elicha with us now - unfortunately he has taken his injury, so it has not quite worked out yet," Sadler said.
