Walsall plan to extend Ronan Maher's loan at Tamworth until the end of the season
Walsall boss Mat Sadler has said he is planning for Ronan Maher to extend his loan spell at Tamworth until the end of the season.
Since initially re-joining Tamworth on a youth loan in October, Maher has scored three goals and set-up one more in 16 appearances in all competitions.
His temporary stay was converted into a standard loan in late December and Sadler intends for Maher to remain at the Lamb for the remainder of the campaign.
"Hopefully that will extend until the end of the season. That's the hope and the plan," Sadler revealed.
"He had a thigh injury and missed a couple of weeks at the start of January, but he is back in the team and scored the other night.
