'I want to make them proud' - Courtney Clarke dedicates first Walsall goal to his family
An emotional Courtney Clarke says his main goal is to make his "family proud" after scoring his first goal in the Football League for Walsall.
Clarke played a key role in helping Walsall come from behind against Bromley after he was introduced by Mat Sadler at half-time.
The 22-year-old then put the seal on a 3-1 win in the dying embers when he finished underneath Grant Smith after Albert Adomah had unselfishly squared to him.
After the game, Clarke revealed that his family were in tears in the stands and paid tribute to them for the support they have given him throughout his journey.
"My mum, my sister, my uncles, my family were there today. They were crying because we've been praying for this for so long," Clarke said.
