The 20-year-old has made nine appearances in all competitions since joining the Lambs on loan until December 29.

Maher has also played three times for Walsall this term, but returned for his third loan spell at Tamworth in National League in early October.

He scored three goals and set-up three more in 14 matches for Tamworth last season and has featured regularly in his latest stint, after initially struggling with injury.

Sadler refused to confirm whether Maher will head out on loan again after the New Year, but did explain that he would only return to Walsall if there will be chances for him to play.
