Only five other teams in League Two have not been afforded to chance to take aim from 12 yards: Cambridge United, Tranmere Rovers, Barrow, Shrewsbury Town and Cheltenham Town.

Taylor Allen was the primary penalty taker for Walsall last season - converting all three of his attempts from the spot, including in the Saddlers’ 2-0 win at Chesterfield in the play-off semi-final first leg.

Meanwhile, Josh Gordon, Nathan Lowe, Danny Johnson and Jamille Matt missed one apiece.

With only Matt still at the club, who will be the man to step up to the spot, when Walsall finally receive a penalty?

Pressley might not be in the best of form in front of goal, in the wake of a five-match goal drought, but his record from 12 yards is excellent.

The Scotsman has found the net from eight of his nine career penalties. He scored all three on loan at AFC Wimbledon in 2021-22 and was successful with all four during his temporary stay at Accrington Stanley the following campaign.
