Walsall signing Kemar Roofe has 'loads left in the tank' as Mat Sadler vows to handle with care
Mat Sadler believes new Walsall striker Kemar Roofe still has "loads left in the tank" but is conscious of protecting him considering his recent injury record.
The former Rangers and Leeds United star, who has been training with his hometown club for the past three weeks, penned a short-term deal, initially until January this week.
His career has been plagued by injury over the past two years and he recently spent six months without a club since leaving Derby County in May.
Roofe was unable to shake off his injury issues at Pride Park, which restricted him to just 100 minutes of football across his three cameos from the bench.
Sadler feels the former Jamaica international will add another great option to his front-line, but is mindful of building him back up after such a challenging period.

"You can see why he has had such a wonderful career. He has still got a lot left in the tank at such a relatively young age of 32," Sadler said.
