'The manager always had a plan' - Rico Browne reflects on his patient journey at Walsall
Rico Browne has had to bide his time at Walsall, but is pleased to start seeing his patience "rewarded".
Browne, who joined the Saddlers in September last year, made all three of his appearances in the EFL Trophy in the previous campaign.
He has featured six times for Walsall in League Two this season and has started the last four games in the absence of the injured Harrison Burke.
But Browne feels observing the squad and the standards required to succeed at this level served as a valuable lesson for him.
'The manager always had a plan for me'

"It's always about adaptability because nothing is going to go exactly how you want it to be," the young defender reflected.
"I came here and observed last season. I took things from certain players and added them into my own game.
