Walsall vs Swindon - preview: Saddlers won't be dwelling 'on the past'
Brandon Comley insists Walsall cannot afford to "live in the past" as they look to turn the page on last season.
Walsall will get their seventh consecutive season in League Two underway when Swindon Town visit Bescot tomorrow.
The Saddlers missed out on automatic promotion in the final seconds of the previous campaign, before suffering further heartache against Wimbledon in the play-off final at Wembley.
Only Jamie Jellis and Jamille Matt remain from the XI which started in the capital 66 days ago. Comley, who was an unused sub on the day, recognised that lessons need to be learned from their promotion collapse, but that dwelling on what has gone before achieves nothing.
"If you live in the past then you will remain in it. You have to take your medicine and go again," the midfielder reflected.

"The gaffer understands that there are a whole new group of players here. If we put the failings on those players then it's only going to do us an injustice and a disservice.
"We need to embrace the failures but also realise that we've got a new challenge facing us again to go and do better this season.
