The Saddlers travel to Bramall Lane tomorrow having got their League One campaign back on track with a 2-1 victory over Millwall on Saturday.

Walsall had lost 4-1 at home to Scunthorpe in their previous outing with Whitney delighted by the response of his players as they overcame Neil Harris' Lions.

But now the boss looks set to give his fringe players some game time against Sheffield United, just like he did in the opening group match against Grimsby.

"I played a young team last time and I will have a look at making a few changes again," Whitney said.

"Joe Edwards is back from suspension so it's a great game for him to come back into and get some minutes.

"That's a real positive because with the international break – it would have been another two weeks until Joe got to play.

"This is a great opportunity to them. Bramall Lane is a great stadium to play football. And I'm sure my young players will rise to the challenge."
