A bidding war is brewing for Walsall's Tom Bradshaw with an unnamed club rivalling Rotherham for his signature.

Millers boss Alan Stubbs has confirmed he has tabled a club record bid - believed to be £550,000 - for a striker.

And the Express & Star understands that man is Bradshaw, who is being tracked by a host of clubs this summer.

Rotherham's move has forced the hand of another unnamed suitor, who are ready to come forward with their own offer.

It's understood that club isn't Barnsley, who have already seen a bid rejected this close season for the Welshman.

Bradshaw, who has one-year remaining on his Saddlers contract, has been mooted for a figure as high as £1million.

The 23-year-old has previously been linked with Preston, Nottingham Forest, Reading and Birmingham.

Scottish giants Glasgow Rangers have been credited with an interest since January, but don't appear to be in the hunt.

Rangers boss Mark Warburton said: "We have been linked to so many strikers and that's good, because the real targets haven't been mentioned.

"The one we want is the one you haven't dug up yet."
