Paul Downing completes MK Dons move
Walsall's out-of-contract defender Paul Downing has completed a move to League One rivals Milton Keynes Dons.
The centre-back, who joined the Saddlers from West Brom in 2012, has signed a contract which will begin on July 1.
The 24-year-old confirmed last week that he wouldn't be signing the one-year contract extension offered to him at the end of last season.
Downing now looks set to join Karl Robinson's side, who are amongst the bookmakers favourites to win promotion from League One.
The Dons are short of options at the back, having released Antony Kay while Kyle McFadzean has put in a transfer request amid interest from several Championship sides.
Downing has made more than 150 league appearances for the Saddlers over the last four campaigns.
