The tricky winger scored eight goals in 50 appearances for the Saddlers last season but has opted not to sign the new deal offered to him last month.

Lalkovic returned to the Banks's Stadium for a second spell last summer after previously joining on loan from Chelsea in the 2013/14 campaign.

Both his spells have seen him become a firm fans favourite for Walsall supporters.

Lalkovic announced his decision to leave on his official Facebook page.

He said: "Hi everyone I just want to let you know that after thinking about my future I did choose not to accept the terms offered from Walsall FC for a simple reason - we did not agree on the new deal so it was best to move on.

"However I loved every second of it in my two spells and you FANS were big part of that.

"I would also like to thank all the staff, players and people behind the scenes for everything they did for me or helped me during those two seasons.

"I wish Walsall all the very best for the future! UTS."
