Neil Etheridge is top of the stops for Walsall
He broke Fleetwood Town's hearts with a stunning save that secured Walsall another crucial League One victory.
And now goalkeeper Neil Etheridge is backing promotion-chasing Saddlers to continue grinding out results as they enter the business stage of the season.
Rock-bottom Colchester are the visitors to the Banks's Stadium tomorrow as Jon Whitney's side begin their 10-game run-in.
It's a match both players and supporters are desperate to win as Walsall look to turn around a run of form that has seen them fail to win at home in their last six attempts.
Etheridge was the hero on Tuesday night after his spectacular reflex stop, deep into six minutes of stoppage time, secured a 1-0 victory over the Cod Army.
And the talented 26-year-old believes the Saddlers showed a different side to their character with that victory.
The Philippines international said: "Fleetwood was a great victory because it was a different kind of game for us. They are a good team and I thought they pressed us really well.
"In the first half an hour we felt like we were playing against ourselves, it's normally us who is playing teams off the park.
"But we adapted, we learnt how to cope with them and at the final whistle it was us celebrating three points.
"Whits (Whitney) and Cuts (Neil Cutler) have changed the formation and I think we showed just how adaptable we are as players.
"On a personal note, I was delighted with the save and the clean sheet as well.
"But the most important thing was grinding out the result and now we need to go again against Colchester tomorrow."
Etheridge, who was a youth team player at both Chelsea and Fulham, believes Walsall know what is required to win games as they aim to close in on a place in the automatic promotion places.
He said: "We are very hard to break down and extremely hard to play against. We know when we should keep the ball and when to go longer.
"The defence has been fantastic and while we haven't kept as many clean-sheets as we would have liked, the players in front of me have been spot on all season.
"That solid base gives licence to the other players to do what they are good at.
"We know the ability we have in our locker and Jon Whitney wants us playing with freedom, at a high intensity and in a way that is enjoyable for us and will also entertain the fans.
"After Colchester, it's the international break and we are determined to go into that on the back of three wins."
