The Saddlers, who have the best away record in League One, will look to bag another win on the road when they face Championship outfit Reading tomorrow.

Up for grabs is a place in the fifth round of the prestigious cup competition.

That's the stage Walsall last reached 13 years ago, after beating Wimbledon thanks to a solidity goal from Australian David Zdrilic.

But Taylor insists the Saddlers are confident they can overcome the Royals and reach it once again.

The 29-year-old said: "It would be brilliant to reach the fifth round, because it has been a long time.

"Everyone loves a cup run. It breeds confidence and gives you the opportunity to play against bigger teams and in bigger stadiums.

"It creates a feel-good factor around the club which then helps the league form.

"We'll be the underdogs but hopefully we can cause another upset. All the lads are really looking forward to it."

Taylor admits it's difficult to understand why Walsall have performed so well away from the Banks's Stadium, but added the players are also proud of their home record.

He continued: "I can't put my finger on why the away form is so good. We don't change the way we play whether we're home or away.

"Every single game we go into with the same approach, looking to play the same way.

"It's not a case of going away from home with a different game plan to when we're at home – we come up with a different game plan depending on the opposition and on what their strengths and weaknesses are.

"Our game plans are more specific to the opposition rather than whether we're home or away.

"We just go and try to win every game we play in. Our away form has been pretty good this year, as has our home form, so we go to Reading full of confidence."
