Video: Tom Bradshaw up for Player of the Month
Walsall's star striker Tom Bradshaw has been nominated for the League One Player of the Month award for September.
The 23-year-old hotshot netted three goals in five games for the Saddlers, including a stunning brace in a 2-0 win over Doncaster at the Banks's Stadium.
Bradshaw is up against Colchester goalkeeper Jamie Jones, Bury striker Leon Clarke and Rochdale midfielder Peter Vincenti.
The forward said: "I'm over the moon to have been nominated. As with all personal awards, they're a testament to the rest of the team – without them I couldn't do my job scoring goals.
"We've created so many chances this season and I feel like we pose a real threat going forward.
"It's been a good month for me personally and for the team. Three more goals, with the two against Doncaster the highlight.
"It was one of those games that were perhaps slightly petering out. But I felt confident, as I have all season, and if a chance fell to me I was going to score."
Boss Dean Smith, who won the August Manager of the Month award, has not made September's shortlist.
That is made up of Colchester's Tony Humes, Burton's Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Bury's Dave Flitcroft and Southend's Phil Brown.
Bradshaw was nominated for the way he 'led the line with his usual intelligence while also contributing three goals', according to sponsors Sky Bet.
The winner will be announced on Friday, from a four-man judging panel that contains former Walsall, Wolves and Albion striker Don Goodman.
Meanwhile, boss Smith has praised the performances of Adam Chambers this season after handing the skipper a more withdrawn central midfield role.
Walsall currently have the best defensive record across all four professional divisions. Smith said: "Adam has got a more restricted role now, but he's thriving in it."
Meanwhile, Walsall went through 4-2 on penalties in the Birmingham Senior Cup after a 0-0 draw at Rugby Town.
