WATCH: Walsall's Jordan Cook scores straight from kick-off

The first game of pre-season it may have been but Walsall's Jordan Cook showed no signs of rustiness as he scored an extraordinary goal in yesterday's behind-closed-doors friendly with Wolves.

Cook lobbed keeper Harry Burgoyne from the halfway line immediately after receiving the kick-off from team-mate Reece Flanagan.

The 25-year-old is no stranger to the spectacular, having won the club's goal of the season competition last year.

But, as you can see from the video below, this effort raised the bar another few notches.

It helped the Saddlers immediately hit back after Wolves had raced into a two goal lead in yesterday's encounter at Essington.

Flanagan then levelled things up ten minutes later before the hosts grabbed a late winner.
