Walsall reporter Matt Maher discusses the Richard O'Donnell contract situation and Craig MacGillivray's new one-year deal.

O'Donnell has been given a June 7 deadline to accept a new deal at Walsall.

However, Saddlers chief executive Stefan Gamble has hinted the club may be prepared to negotiate further with the 26-year-old, whose future is the subject of much speculation.

While talks have been ongoing since November, O'Donnell was given a formal offer of a new contract earlier this month along with the rest of the club's out of contract players.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Craig MacGillivray on a new one-year deal.

The 22-year-old joined the Saddlers a year ago from Harrogate Town and spent most of his first campaign at the Banks's as understudy to No.1 Richard O'Donnell, before starting the final two games of the season.
