Walsall haven't given up on Tom Bradshaw
Walsall manager Dean Smith will give top scorer Tom Bradshaw as much time as possible to prove his fitness before Sunday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy final.
But the Saddlers boss admits the 16-goal striker will have to be able to train fully in London tomorrow, or miss out on the club's first-ever game at Wembley.
Bradshaw, who missed Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Sheffield United because of a hamstring injury, did not take part in the club's final training session before departing this morning.
He was instead being limited to fitness drills with physio Jon Whitney. Left-back Andy Taylor, who also missed Tuesday's game with a calf injury, did take part in the full session.
Smith is keen to give Bradshaw as much time as he can and said: "He deserves it, for his exploits this season.
"We will certainly give him time. But he will have to train tomorrow. We don't want to put him on the pitch not knowing whether he is going to blow up or not."
Striker Amadou Bakayoko is also doubtful after picking up a tight hamstring.
