Smith: Jordy Hiwula is opposition nightmare
Dean Smith hailed Walsall hotshot Jordy Hiwula as a "defender's nightmare" and admitted: "I would have hated playing against him."
And the Saddlers boss insists he is ready to field the on-loan Manchester City star and top scorer Tom Bradshaw in the same team when the latter returns from injury.
Hiwula scored his third goal in four games to earn Smith's men a point in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Bradford City, another game 15-goal Bradshaw missed with hamstring trouble.
The manager is delighted with the form of the new man and the attacking options now at his disposal.
"I can't see any reason why they can't play together," said Smith, who made more than 600 career appearances at centre-back.
"What really impresses me about Jordy is his workrate but when he gets the ball to his feet, he has fast feet. He would be a defender's nightmare – I certainly wouldn't have wanted to mark him."
Smith admits Hiwula's form since joining on a month-long youth loan from City makes him hard to leave out for tomorrow's trip to Preston.
"There is a Wembley final in the not too distant future and players are playing for places," he said.
