Supporters flocked to the Banks's Stadium again this morning as they reopened for business, with admission to the Johnstone's Paint Trophy national final on offer.

They braved the cold weather for hours to get their hands on tickets. More than 4,000 went on the first day of sale to season ticket holders and thousands more have been taken since.

The Saddlers will take on Bristol City at Wembley on Sunday March 22, in what promises to be an historic day in their 127-year history.

Fans who had a booking history with the club last season or can produce a turnstile ticket stub from a game were eligible for group bookings.

Adults could purchase up to six tickets, while each junior is entitled to buy their own ticket plus an accompanying adult only.

A club statement urged the Saddlers faithful yet to make arrangements not to panic, saying: "There is no need to panic.

"There are plenty of tickets available and we anticipate being able to meet most supporter requirements in due course."

Passes priced at £28 and £60 have already sold out, so the club were only accepting telephone bookings for the £42 category.
