Any uncertainty over the 20-year-old's immediate future was ended this morning when the Saddlers reached an agreement with Leicester City to keep him until the summer.

Cain has proved a big hit at the Banks's and has started every game since initially arriving on a month long loan in October.

He netted his third goal of his stay in last Saturday's 2-0 win at Colchester is eager to continue making strides during the rest of his time with the club.

"I've really enjoyed the first three months of my time here," he said. "It's a great club to be involved with and everyone has made me feel welcome.

"It's been a good experience for me and a real learning curve; I feel that I have really developed as a player and as a person since I have been here.

"It's nice to know that I will be staying here for the rest of the season now. I can settle down and really kick on during these exciting months that lie ahead.

"As a team we've put in some excellent performances since I have been here and our results have picked up.

"League One is a physical and technical League; there are some good teams and some talented players playing at this level, but I am happy with how I am adapting to it and the experience can only benefit me.

"Also having Adam Chambers alongside me has been a massive help. He's got bags of experience and gives me plenty of good feedback."
