Saddlers pick up fair play award from FA chairman Greg Dyke
Football Association chairman Greg Dyke congratulated Walsall Football Club after the team won a fair play award.
Mr Dyke presented club chief executive Stefan Gamble with a £10,000 cheque after the Saddlers won the League One FA Respect & Fair Play Award for last season.
He made the presentation ahead of the club's home defeat at the Bescot Stadium against Scunthorpe on Saturday.
The money will be spent on a conditioning facility and to fund a fitness coach at the club's successful academy.
Speaking after the presentation, Mr Dyke, who was Brentford FC chairman, said: "This is a good club with a good record, its well-run and the results of that can be seen on the pitch.

"I was chairman at Brentford and enjoyed my time when I came here."
The club won the award after it picked up just 36 yellow cards and five red cards in league last season.
The club also committed the fewest fouls in the division, 368.
Mr Dyke said: "The award works well, it gives the club a bit of money and promotes fairness in the club.
"No family wants to see foul language or bad play when watching their team."
The Saddlers joined Liverpool, Burnley and Exeter City as the other divisional winners to pick up the award.
