Matt Maher's tour diary of Walsall in Devon
The Saddlers hit the beach today and Tom Bradshaw in particular is looking forward to it.
Dean Smith's men headed to Newquay for a day of water-based activities including surfing and body-boarding.
Striker Bradshaw has made no secret of the fact he intends to show off his skills, having made a similar trip to the same beach while on pre-season tour with former club Shrewsbury three years ago.
At the very least, Bradshaw will hope to fare better on the water than James Baxendale did on the tennis court.
The winger has been getting plenty of stick after his lack of racket skills were exposed – though the winger's downfall was very much of his own making.

Baxendale was challenged to a game after delivering one too many unkind heckles from 'Holden Hill' (named after defender Dean) at the University of Exeter while watching his team-mates play.
Needless to say, the 21-year-old turned out to be more Andrew Castle than Andy Murray.
Spend any time with Walsall's chief analyst and head of recruitment James Troup and you cannot fail to be impressed by his organisation and knowledge.
This is the man who, together with assistant Calum Hayes, videos every training session and match. If a ball has been kicked he knows about it, and often gives the impression of being a walking stat book.
His attention to detail is unquestionable but not, it would seem, when it comes to organising quizzes.
The team quiz on Tuesday night reportedly descended into chaos over a case of mistaken identity in the final question of the picture round.
The answer was James Hunt yet the picture, sourced by Troup using a well-known internet search engine, was not of the famous racing driver but instead his lesser known son Tom.
Fortunately, the controversy had no bearing on the overall result, as the staff team of Dean Smith, Richard O'Kelly and Jon Whitney claimed victory.
