Michael Ngoo tells Walsall fans 'You haven't seen the real me'
Michael Ngoo today told Walsall fans "you haven't seen the real me" and said he is not ready to be branded a loan failure.
The 21-year-old is yet to score since joining the Saddlers until the end of the season from Liverpool in January.
Ngoo is honest when discussing his time so far at the Banks's but with only five games remaining insists he is not ready to throw in the towel.
"It's been difficult because I have not made the impact I would have liked to," he said.
"That is the thing with loans, they can either can go one way or the other. But I would not rule anything out yet."
Ngoo has started just three games for the Saddlers and added: "When you are not playing every week, you are not in, then you are in, it's tough to get to know the players in terms of a match.
"But I don't want to use it as an excuse. Obviously I should have made a big impact and there are a few games left. My plan is to give it my best in these games, to give my all.
"The fans have not seen the real me yet, not at all."
Ngoo is hoping to keep his starting place when the Saddlers entertain Bristol City later today, after getting the nod to replace suspended top scorer Craig Westcarr at Port Vale last week.
Dean Smith's men are eight points adrift of the tops six with just five games remaining and their play-off hopes look all but over.
But Ngoo says players still believe.
"We just need to string a few results together and that can put a bit of a doubt in teams above," he said. "If we can do that then we know the fans will be behind us.
"Football is a funny game, it's a very funny game, it's not over that is what I'm saying.
"People can say, 'Michael you have not had a good loan' but at the end of the day there are five games left. A couple of goals and you never know what can happen in football."
