Jamie Paterson today saluted his Hillsborough wonder strike and insisted he is eyeing the goal trail.
The winger netted a stunning goal in the Saddlers' 2-2 draw at Sheffield Wednesday last night which almost claimed a shock win.
Paterson fired in a rising drive from an angle for only the second goal of his career after a fine solo effort at Huddersfield in November.
And the 20-year-old is keen to build on his Sheffield stunner and shoot the Saddlers away from the League One danger zone.
"It was a great place to score. It's a massive stadium and they had almost 20,000 there – you can't score in a better arena in League One," said Paterson, who scored after Ryan Lowe cancelled out Jon Macken's opener.
"Hopefully now I can go and score at all the other grounds for the rest of the season. It should give me confidence and hopefully I can chip in with a few more goals. I like setting up chances but I want to score goals as a winger.
"I'll carry on and try to score as many goals as possible. I've had a lot of shots in games – especially against Wycombe – and keepers have been pulling off some decent saves.
"But last night I chopped one way and just shot. As soon as I saw it hit the net it was a great feeling.
"As soon as I chopped past the defender I knew I was just going to smash it back across goal and it's gone in the top corner. If you don't shoot you don't score so it was a good feeling."
But Gary Madine's 95th minute equaliser denied Walsall the points and left them back in the League One drop zone after Wycombe's 3-1 win at Exeter.
Defender Manny Smith added: "All the lads are gutted, we were speaking to each other all the way through injury time, trying to communicate and trying to keep our heads. To see them score in the last few seconds seemed like a loss for us."
