The striker insisted he doesn't want a repeat of last season's Great Escape, when they beat the drop on the final day.
Walsall sit 20th in League One, a point above the bottom four, after just one win in 14 games in all competitions.
And Macken, who played in Saturday's 1-1 FA Cup draw at Exeter, reckons another late show is out of the question.
He said: "I was in it last season, which wasn't nice. But we don't want to be in the same situation in April and May – we aim to be a lot further up the table.
"We know we've got enough quality in the team and the squad to push on to win games. I believe we can do it."
