Dean Smith today urged Walsall to focus on improving their results before they get ahead of themselves.
The Saddlers chief wants short-term gains before the team starts chasing their long-term aims after a disappointing run in League One.
Walsall, who prior to today's trip to Wycombe last won in August, have fallen off the play-off pace and Smith knows they need to plan game-by-game.
He said: "The league has started to pan itself out now and the teams you'd expect to be at the top of the league are there."
