Walsall today suffered another injury blow when striker Jon Macken was ruled out for two weeks with a hamstring injury.
The 34-year-old pulled up in training and was sidelined for Saturday's 1-1 draw with Carlisle, which dropped the Saddlers to 19th in League One.
Macken will miss tomorrow's Johnstone's Paint Trophy trip to Rochdale, Saturday's game at Wycombe and is a doubt for the visit of former club Preston on October 15.
Manager Dean Smith said: "Jon pulled up with a hamstring problem which is unfortunate . He'll be out for a couple of weeks but it's the opposite leg to last time."
