Subdued Walsall were held to a bore draw by Yeovil as the Saddlers failed to hold onto another lead.
Jon Macken's first-half stunner was cancelled out by Gavin Williams, meaning Dean Smith's men have tossed away three leads in the last week.
Ryan Jarvis came closest to winning it for Walsall in injury time but blazed a volley over, while Yeovil's Jonathan Obika had a goal disallowed for offside.
The Saddlers were unchanged from their 3-2 defeat at Sheffield United in mid-week, but there were no early signs they had brought their promising performance from Bramall Lane with them.
And they should have fallen behind when Oliver Lancashire was outpaced by Andrew Williams, to be denied by goalkeeper Jimmy Walker.
But they took the lead against the run of play on 19 minutes when Will Grigg spotted Claude Gnakpa and the Frenchman advanced to feed Macken, who buried a stunning effort into the top corner from the edge of the box.
Yeovil tried to hit back with Andrew Williams' effort deflecting wide, as the Glovers looked threatening.
The Saddlers still couldn't settle, despite their lead, but almost doubled it when goalkeeper Jed Steer had to be alive to stop Macken's 18-yard snap shot.
Walsall, so sharp in their previous game at Sheffield United, struggled to find their rhythm and found it difficult to break down the well-drilled Glovers.
Gavin Williams was pulling the strings for the visitors and it was no surprise when he levelled on 42 minutes, latching onto Paul Wotton's ball over the top.
The goal meant the Saddlers have scored first in all their four league games this season, but have failed to hold onto the initial lead three times.
The ineffective Kevan Hurst was replaced by Alex Nicholls at the break but the Saddlers were still subdued, although Paul Huntington had to hastily clear Gnakpa's header away.
Max Ehmer almost deflected Luke Ayling's cross into his own net but it was a rare moment of excitement, as neither team was able to take control.
Darryl Westlake tested Steer from 25-yards, before Obika had a goal ruled out for offside on 72 minutes.
Macken's overhead kick was easily claimed by Steer, as the Saddlers pressed but couldn't find a winner.
Antony Edgar was denied by Walker in injury time, before Jarvis blazed a difficult chance over at the death.
