Walsall manager Dean Smith today ruled out joining the 'twitterati' and insisted he will steer clear of 'twansfers.'
Yeovil boss Terry Skiverton used Twitter to snap up Everton striker Kieran Agard in the summer after asking his followers to recommend players – the first ever 'twansfer.'
But, ahead of Yeovil's visit to the Banks's Stadium tomorrow, Smith insisted he won't be joining the social networking ranks – even if it worked for Skiverton.
The Saddlers boss said: "I don't go on the old Twitter and Facebook and whatever it is, the social networking isn't for me.
"They have got some good players from Tottenham, Jonathan Obika is back there now, so they know what they're doing and they've done well with it.
"Clubs like ourselves and Yeovil probably put in extra miles because you have to go and watch players, as we know we have to snap up some bargains somewhere along the line.
"They've done very well with the way they've done it over the last few years."
And Smith hailed Skiverton for his work at Huish Park after he guided them to 14th last season.
He said: "Terry knows the club inside out and has given great service to them.
"Like us, they're tipped to go down so they'll want to prove people and the bookies wrong."
