Boss Dean Smith today dismissed any fears of complacency but insisted Walsall must get their 'heads right' to gun down Yeovil.

The Saddlers chief wants his men to hit back against the Glovers after their heartbreaking 3-2 defeat at Sheffield United on Tuesday.

They squandered a 2-0 lead at Bramall Lane despite dominating for long spells and host Yeovil, a favourite for the drop along with Walsall, at the weekend.

And Smith warned his men of the Glovers' danger and urged them to focus.

"We've got to make sure we're ready," he said. "It's massively important we get our heads right and put in a performance.

"We can't be complacent. Whether it be Charlton, Sheffield Wednesday, Sheffield United or Yeovil it makes no odds – there are still three points up for grabs.

"I keep stressing home results are massively important and hopefully we can get the performance with the result on Saturday so we can follow on from the display on Tuesday.

"Every game in the league is tough, whoever you play, and Yeovil will be no different.

"They'll be coming here with the expectation of getting a result off us. If the performance matches what we put in at Sheffield United for 70 minutes I've no doubt we'll win.

"We need brave players who can go and play in big arenas and they've shown they can do that. What they need to do now is follow it up in another big game at the Banks's Stadium"

Despite Tuesday's defeat Smith insisted he won't need to motivate his players for Saturday.

He said: "The players were devastated they didn't win a game we should have won. But it will give them the encouragement and knowledge they can compete against the so-called big ones in the league."
