Dean Smith on the hunt for new Walsall signings

Walsall boss Dean Smith will go into his team's final week of preparation with transfer targets still on his radar before next Saturday's League One opener.

The Saddlers will tackle Leyton Orient at The Banks's Stadium with eight new signings already on board.

But last season's survival-clinching hero is still hoping to run the rule over potential signings this week.

"We've got a little bit of problem in that the youth team are away in Holland on tour and we can struggle for numbers in trying to arrange behind-closed-doors friendlies," says Smith.
