Skipper Andy Butler today insisted he is at Walsall for the long haul and was never going to quit the Saddlers.

The reigning double Player of the Year has vowed to stay at the club until he's not wanted.

He penned a two-year deal after a stunning season last term where he led the Saddlers to final day survival glory.

The defender has relocated to the Midlands from Yorkshire with his family, wife Caroline and son Ashton, such is his commitment to the club.

And, ahead of tonight's game at Gretna, Butler insisted he already wants to stay beyond his current deal.
