Walsall manager Dean Smith has told his side they must learn to deal with the pressure of a relegation battle if they want to survive.

The Saddlers could escape the League One drop zone with a win against Brentford at the Banks's Stadium tonight.

It's their game in hand over relegation rival Bristol Rovers and, while he admitted his players are feeling the heat, Smith warns they need to learn to cope.

He said: "You've got to handle it. It's football and the position we're in. We've got to handle it better than the other teams around us.

"There's been pressure on us before and we've dealt with it. Losing at Plymouth was the first time we've lost to anyone in and around us, under me."
