Matt Gill has a departing message

Matt Gill has called on his former Walsall team-mates to launch one last push for survival.

The midfielder – who returned to Norwich after Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Colchester– ended his loan spell with two goals in eight games and helped the Saddlers to within three points of safety in League One.

He said: "There has been a bit of belief restored in the dressing room and if I was any part of that then brilliant. I really enjoyed it but now I'm heading back to Norwich.

"It was disappointing to lose, but they have to put it behind them now and get on with the next game. There are 14 left so every one is a big one."
