The left-back hit an 83rd minute equaliser against the club he left in the summer – his first goal to the Saddlers - to salvage a 2-2 at the Memorial Stadium.
Will Grigg had fired the Saddlers ahead with his first senior strike but two goals in 60 seconds after the break from Will Hoskins and Jo Kuffour turned the game on its head.
The Saddlers started well and Grigg turned in Alex Nicholls' cross on four minutes to make Rovers, who appointed David Penney as new manager yesterday, nervous.
Nicholls and Jonathan Macken should have added to the lead in a first half the Saddlers dominated.
But everything changed after the break when Kuffour, a half time substitute, crossed for Hoskins to prod in on 53 minutes.
Sixty seconds later and Hoskins returned the favour, as Kuffour stylishly volleyed into the corner from 18 yards.
It was a nightmare for the Saddlers but Lescott drove in from 18 yards, after being set up by Macken, for a share of the spoils.
