WWalsall should know whether their next game will go ahead after a pitch inspection tomorrow.

The Saddlers' are due to host Dagenham & Redbridge on Tuesday but, with the big freeze yet to thaw, will check on the condition of their Banks's Stadium playing surface at 11:30am tomorrow morning.

After a month of the weather playing havoc with their fixtures, the Football League has reiterated its recommended procedures on calling off games, as they expect further disruption between now and the New Year.

The league are looking for clubs to get at least a day's notice if their game is postponed, as head of Communications John Nagle has explained.

He said: "Given the recent cold spell, it 's very likely that we will see a number of games being called off in the coming days.

"It is therefore important that clubs do everything in their power to prevent supporters making wasted journeys to fixtures that are ultimately postponed."

The Saddlers haven't played since December 12, the memorable win at Charlton.

Since then, Chris Hutchings' men have seen a home game with Southampton and today's trip to Bristol Rovers, which was called off on Christmas Eve, fall foul of the weather.
