Walsall have today performed a strip-tease for their fans after unveiling a new third kit.

The Saddlers gave supporters a sneak peak of the new look which will be handed its debut in Saturday's trip to Dagenham and Redbridge.

The club were forced to design a new kit with Daggers' home colours of red and blue clashing with both Walsall's home and away shirts.

Walsall are 20th in League One, a place above Dagenham on goal difference, and on-loan Manchester City left-back Ryan McGivern hopes the new jerseys will bring them luck.

He said: "It's certainly got an Irish look about it.

"Hopefully it will bring us some good luck on Saturday when we wear it for the first time. It's a nice kit and I'm sure we'll look the business in it on Saturday.

"We go into the game in a positive frame of mind, like we always do.

"It was a big win for us in the last game and now we have two matches coming up against teams around us in the table where we will be looking to take six points and continue our climb up the league.

"Hopefully we can forget about our bad run now and start to pick up points.

"I must say that throughout the run everyone has stuck together, we knew that things would eventually turn around for us."
