Non-league round-up: Defeat for Kidderminster Harriers as Rushall Olympic reach cup final

Play-off chasing Kidderminster Harriers suffered a 2-1 defeat at Chorley to end their eight-match unbeaten run in the National League North.

Sam Bird's deflected effort provided Chorley with an 18th-minute lead which was almost extended when Max Wilson saw his dinked finish cannon off the crossbar. 

Kidderminster appeared to have salvaged a point when Jack Clarke met Joe Foulkes' cross with a clinical volley at the back post just six minutes from time. 

But Harvey Smith restored Chorley's lead in the dying stages to condemn Kidderminster to their first league defeat in nine games.

Meanwhile, Rushall Olympic booked their place in the Staffordshire Senior Cup after beating local rivals Hednesford Town 1-0 at Keys Park. 

Max Ram converted a powerful header from Carter Lycett's cross to score the only goal of the tie after just 10 minutes. 

A string of second half saves from Jake Davies-Mantom helped keep the Pitmen at bay as the Pics booked their place in the final for the third time in four seasons. 

Stafford Rangers also secured progression to the last four after beating Wolverhampton Casuals 2-1 at home in their quarter-final tie. 

Jon Letford fired Cassies into an early lead inside just three minutes, before Luke Edwards crashed a free-kick off the crossbar for Rangers.

Jack Birch curled home a free-kick to restore parity in the 35th-minute as Cassies finished the first half with 10-men following the dismissal of Zach Jackson. 

John Atherton converted a low cutback by Edwards to secure victory for Rangers - who will face either Eccleshall or Hanley Town in the last four.

In the Southern League Premier Central, Halesowen climbed into the play-off places with a 3-0 home victory over Banbury.

Jordan Ponticelli bagged a first half brace for the Yeltz before Milan Butterfield sealed the win just after the restart to lift his side into fifth.
